Did not Jesus say He would be our Comforter and He would be our Guide? This is one of the benefits of His indwelling Spirit. I don’t know where I’d be without that.
Jhn 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
Jhn 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
Jhn 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Jhn 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Psa 94:19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul
I just wanted to share a few verses with you. God Bless!
I thought of that old gospel song as I read your post.
O spread the tidings ’round
wherever man is found
wherever human hearts and human woes abound.
Let every Christian tongue proclaim the joyful sound
the Comforter has come.
The Comforter has come, the Comforter has come,
the Holy Ghost from heaven, the Father’s promise giv’n
O spread the tidings ’round wherever man is found
the Comforter has come!
Remember that one? Where would we be without the God of all comfort! (2 Cor. 1:3)
If it had not been for the Lord on my side, where would I be? (another old song)
I don’t like to think about where I might be if I didn’t have His Spirit dwelling inside.
